My thoughts, feelings; mostly my thoughts, on past, current, and future events. My philosophy on existence, human existence; i.e., reality. I think people need to think more, and properly. Each and every individual must be fully aware of the present and self, and to question everything; especially someone who tells you to question everything. Are the people of these downtrodden countries ready for freedom and know what it takes to establish it in an effective and long lasting matter?

Only the U.S.A has been able to do so, we need to lead by example and they need to learn from us. With so much rising turmoil in our own country, with the union leadership organizing with unrealistic demands, our economy in unsustainable debt, and so many socialists groups gathering in size and influence with the message that capitalism and a free republic is evil, and the world is watching and wondering what is happening to us. We need to reclaim our identity by going back to the principles that made us the greatest country on earth. The principles of decency, honor, respect, responsibility, independence, and abiding by our laws founded in our Constitution, based on reason and a government limited to its proper function: The protection of individual rights, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We need a smaller, more effective government, not a big, wasteful one. The government need only concern itself with its duties in the areas of legal and foreign affairs. Beyond that the government is overstepping its bounds.

The world is on fire, there is a crisis, a battle over freedom versus tyranny, oppressors versus the oppressed, good versus evil, but sadly in some cases, evil versus evil. It will either take a very long time for the world to become peaceful and free, or humankind will vanish at the hands of it's own stupidity. Ultimately that is the choice we face, there is no middle ground. The answer is to form limited governments throughout the world like what we have here in the U.S., so as to allow individuals to pursue happiness in a reasonable manner. Of course, wisdom is essential in establishing and maintaining freedom and peace with limited conflicts resolved and kept at bay.

Ayn Rand, author of "Atlas Shrugged" (I highly recommend reading) once said that there are no arguments among men of reason. I'm sure she meant arguments of principle, and not necessarily of strategies. I also recommend you reading my book; "Profound & Simple," and giving its ideas and considerations a great deal of thought.

To find out more abut my book, visit my website Lifergy.com and click on the "Profound & that our government is becoming too big, acquisitioning more power over individuals, small businesses, and corporations, and incrementally taking away our freedoms and liberties. This incrementalism; however, has been exponentially advanced in the current Obama administration, and much to the chagrin of the majority of Americans; in particular with the passages of the 1,000 page 2nd Economic “Stimulus” Package, the 1,500 page Healthcare “Reform” Package (government run health care; i.e. socialized medicine), and the 2,500 page Economic “Reform” Bill. With these measures the government has granted itself unlimited power, yet it needs more people who are willing to be oppressed.

I believe this was too big of a step in the march toward socialism, and I already see it failing in the ranks of so many decent Americans who just want to earn an honest living, to raise a family, to be independent, free, to love and help thy neighbor; to be a responsible and productive part of a society with the values and principles that made this the freest and greatest country on earth. I see it in the faces of the workers and entrepreneurs in legitimate enterprise with the spirit of self-reliance, honor, respect, and kindness. And I now see a movement in three major grass roots organizations which together compromise of more than 30 million members and are still growing fast: Freedom Works, The Tea Party Express, and the 9.12 Project. People are waking up to the big, over-reaching government movement which began with the progressives in the early 20th century. It’s both fascinating and encouraging to me to see the awakening that is happening in our country and throughout the world; thank goodness for the internet, Fox News, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Michael Savage, Roger Hedgecock, and so many others.

As to the history in the society of man, attributes to the evolving spiritual heights of virtue stem of course from each and every individual, yet major inspirations and sources to the foundations in this positive human condition from which the individual consciously chooses is owed much to the philosophy of Aristotle, the writings of Ayn Rand, ideas such as the U.S. Constitution, the courage of George Washington, the unyielding integrity of all our founding fathers, to all the soldiers of freedom, and so many other noble acts too numerous to name. Emerging from the cross roads of chaos and order, good and evil, freedom and tyranny; the place and time we now find ourselves in lends to the observant, wise, and active soul of conscious fortitude the realization of truth and integrity as essential factors for mankind’s rise above its adolescent stage of spiritual development.

July 31, 2010:
Make no mistake, this is not about race; black versus white, rich versus poor, this is about the one thing Obama and his cronies need and want more than anything else: POWER! They use the race and class warfare cards because they appeal to people’s emotions and weakest base characteristics.

<span style="font-size: 12pt; They need you to be mindless, defenseless sheep to be herded into the tormenting pit of fear and helpless despair. They are setting you up against yourselves; making you both the robber and the victim, making you feel guilty if you are successful, shameful if you are defiant, ignorant if you are independent, a fool if you are responsible, and evil if you are wise to their charade.

We must unite and keep fighting this growing tyrannical monster which threatens our very livelihoods. This is an intellectual battle; their goal is clear, global socialism, and their means depends on you. Stay vigilant, informed, strong, self-reliant, and never give up. They cannot win without your surrender. Let us join together in our common bond of decency and honor. Together we can restore this great country back to its founding principles and values as so wisely authored in the Constitution. We are winning, and we will continue to win; truth is on our side.

A Simple Statement To Washington D.C.

I agree with Rush Limbaugh, Roger Hedgecock and I love Mark Levin. There is a very simple statement that should be sent to Washington D.C.: It says everything that Rush, Roger, and the great one, Mark Levin have been saying. It puts to rest the notion that the Government is the provider of necessity, food, shelter, and health care. It puts to rest the notion that man is meant to be a subservient slave to the greater good, that prosperity and profit from legitimate and productive enterprise is evil, that freedom and individuality is an illusion, that true love is a delusion, and that happiness can only be achieved at the expense of the loss of others rather than at the expense of one's own effort while adding value to the quality of life. People have been sold a bill of goods beginning with Roosevelt's New Deal, the instigation of making income taxes permanent, and taking us off the gold standard. One could even say that man's obligatory servitude to some abstract delusion of tyranny as a necessary inevitability stems back thousands of years.

The United States of America has been considered the great experiment in freedom, which has proved that freedom is the right and only path to liberty, prosperity, and genuine happiness. One phrase can say it all as to what it takes to achieve and continue the greatness, glory, and the very survival of mankind; by simply pointing out the falsehood of a two thousand year old premise of hapless slavery to a grand delusion, taken into the form of an organized institution to carry out its blood shed and unthinkable torture of an eternal torment of amputated souls. One simple, short statement can dissolve all the corrupt, hypocritical, and contradictory acts against humanity: That statement is this;

"It's not the government's job!"

Book Website: www.xlibris.com/profound&simple.html
Main website: http://www.lifergy.com/
Email: lifergy@cox.net

A Letter To Rush

Recently I wrote a letter to Rush Limbaugh regarding the ongoing debate on public health care, and how regular, hard working Americans are being informed and voicing their opinions. It appears that the majority of Americans don't want it, they also don't think the stimulus package was a good idea, and Obama's approval rating is dropping to nearly 50% in every tracking poll. The Democrats are unraveling at the fact that so many people are against their socialist agenda and are much smarter than they thought. Even though the Dems can ram-rod the public health care through against the will of the American people, I now have hope; hope that the final version of the bill will be watered down enough so that when the Republicans reclaim the House and Senate in 2010, they'll be able to undo the damage.

Hi Rush, Mega Intellectual Dittos!!

You have given me hope. Ever since Obama’s election, I was convinced that capitalism and our freedom was over. Now, thanks to you Rush, I see that it’s not. You are inspiring so many people to speak out against Obama’s health care proposal, and in large part we are fired up because you have so eloquently pointed out his true intentions; changing our country into socialism.

On a more philosophic level, you have been very good at making the connection between truth denial and Obama’s failed attempts at convincing people that what they see isn’t real. His speaking skills are now failing to disguise his true intentions of having as much power over as many people’s lives as possible. He’s a typical socialist who hate’s capitalism and freedom, and I fear we are moving too close to the point of no return; but as I’ve said, you’ve given me hope. Hope, because a lot of people are being awakened to the truth. The truth is absolute, and everyone must choose between freedom and tyranny, reason and fear, courage and complacency, truth and falsehood, good and evil. People are choosing, and those choosing on the side of freedom are sincere, more passionate, and growing in numbers.

I’ve written and published a book (“Profound & Simple”) that goes to the heart and soul of all that is real; of how the fundamental principles of truth and ethics in the human experience must be understood for continued human survival. Human survival requires genuine happiness, and essential to attaining happiness is freedom. She was a good woman with a strong will to live. The doctors at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN said that summer she would probably not make it through the fourth of July weekend. We made funeral arrangements with expectations for the worse; after all, the world's best doctors couldn't be wrong. They said even if by some miracle she would make it through that weekend, the longest she could possibly live would be two years. Well, she pulled through that weekend, in unimaginable pain, hardly able to breathe as her lungs constantly filled up with mucous and had to be emptied through a tube. Bedridden, unable to walk, speak, or eat solid food, she somehow kept on living. She slowly got better to the point where she could get around with assistance to stand and use a walker. She was verbally incoherent, yet I could see in her eyes that she consciously knew what was going on. Thirteen years later her suffering came to a peaceful end. Her spirit had defied the world's leading medical professionals, I loved her very much; she was beautiful. Ten years following her death my father died from lung cancer. He did not suffer as long, a few months, and I was not as close to him as I was my mother. My favorite uncle died from lung cancer a couple of years before my mother was diagnosed with the brain tumor. A Cousin of mine overcame Hodgkin’s disease, and I have a brother who got lupus. Cancer runs deep on both sides of my family, and everyone in my family but me smokes cigarettes.

I'm the black sheep, previously running marathons and now cycling because of extensive knee and hip injuries; I stay fit and healthy. I don't know how much heredity contributes to my family's history of cancer, or how much the smoking, poor diet, and sedentary lifestyle plays a role. I like to believe that attitude, one's mental outlook and choices mainly determine quality of life. There is no limit on the greatness, joy, beauty, and potential of the human spirit, which can seem to defy all physical logic. I feel deeply in my heart the love for my mother, the love for her giant spirit, the love for life in the highest sense of living, the love for benevolence, kindness, honor, dignity, and for all of humanity; this abstraction which cannot be formulated by any mathematics or measured with a slide-rule, this thing we call love, is the root of all happiness, and transcends all time and space. That is my inspiration. I'm 48 years old now and can out-ride and out-work most 20 year olds. It's all about the spirit and love in my soul that keeps me youthful. I've devoted myself to taking the highest path of virtue and in that sense will never grow old.

We all make a difference in the world, for the world is truly what we make it. I know someday the world will be made into a more peaceful, loving, and virtuous place, for there are many aspects and places within it that are already so. Love and happiness are as much a part of reality as anything else, which cannot be defied for reality is absolute. Anything that is not real does not exist; in fact, the only thing that is real, is everything.

What I Think

With all this dependency going on encouraged by the current administration, I think what needs to be focused on is, what is within ourselves as individuals; if each and every one of us focuses on working hard, being both independent and benevolent by doing the right thing. Staying with the golden rule, being honest with ourselves and others, doing the right thing from what we know in our hearts and minds to be true. To be positive and always offer the best within us, to roll-up our sleeves, and in an Herculean effort defy all this socialist B.S. by creating wealth from earnest work, tirelessly in the spirit of freedom. It's time to stop being a bunch of whining pansy's and get to work, to steam roll past the national debt and the political socialists with the unlimited spiritual power in the human soul, rising in virtue to abundant prosperity from abundant living.

All of this activity, the energy needed for it can only be generated by a genuine passion and desire, which at its foundation from which it grows is wisdom. Of knowing, not just believing, but of knowing the truth, the nature of truth and what is essential to long term human survival. Such a wisdom is derived from individual, conscious effort. Gaining knowledge is a useful tool to that end, yet the source to make it possible is philosophy. My book, "Profound & Simple." does well to inspire philosophic contemplation, an essential process in the acquisition of wisdom. Passion for living from wisdom feeds the spirit, connecting on a conscious level, the mind, body, heart and soul. It must be known and felt in every fiber of one's entire being to acquiescence the glorious heights of productive prosperity. It is then as a result of such action that peace and happiness will follow.

For my book, click on this link, "Profound & Simple."

Where Philosophy and My Book Come In

It's been some time since my last post, I've been in a funk lately; my thoughts have too often become scattered and lost, drifting away from focus. I decided to spend some time relating how philosophy and my book could inspire more people to wisdom and a better approach to resolving conflicts.

I'm not happy with the current political situation, the so called "Stimulus Package" looks more like FDR's "New Deal." Too much wasteful spending; such as millions of dollars in ear marks in the following areas: Global warming research, sexually transmitted disease prevention, new cars for themselves, billions of dollars in corporate bailouts, Federal income tax rebates including to those who pay no Federal income taxes, and not enough tax cuts. All in all almost a trillion dollars of tax payer money, mathematically it cannot work, it will require higher taxes down the road to pay for it, and in two to three years we could see inflation rise to between 20 and 30 percent. Not a single Republican in the house voted for it, still they ram-roded it through, as they can in the senate if they so choose. The leading Democrats won't even consider the Republican's plan, which is half as costly, offers more tax cuts, and creates twice as many jobs, including jobs in the private sector, not just civil service jobs. Obama has promised to consider alternatives and entertain any ideas from both sides and from corporate leaders, yet he has not made any changes to his "Stimulus Package," which in my opinion would be a complete disaster. If you add to that his proposal for the health care industry to be taken over by the Federal government, then you're looking at the beginning of the end of capitalism and the freedom which has made this the most prosperous nation on Earth. Government will just continue to get bigger with more over reaching power as we loose our personal freedoms while more and more people become dependent on more government handouts. I suppose it's possible that a bigger force than the government is controlling the supply and flow of money, forcing the politicians in the biggest transfer of wealth in American history; perhaps it is the privately owned Federal Reserve and the banking cartel, or perhaps it's deeper and more abstract, such as a dark, sinister energy pervading the powers that be, of this I am not certain.

I am certain that more people need to become more aware of what is really going on; and go back to the fundamentals of truth, to doing the right things for the right reasons, to self-reliance, hard work, decency, integrity, honor, preserving our constitution and freedom, helping others in real need, and having the highest respect for the sanctity of human life. Making these virtues come to full fruition in the long term, I believe requires wisdom. Attaining wisdom requires analytical reasoning, objective observation, fundamental knowledge, acceptance of truth, integrity, and philosophic contemplation. It takes a lot of effort, difficult in the beginning, and through time with persistence becomes easier and more natural. The brain is designed to monitor and regulate bodily functions, while the mind's purpose is to think, feel, question, understand, choose, imagine, and create ideas. We must all be active as such, as individuals, keeping at bay stagnation and complacency, while overcoming hatred and evil with love and virtue. These things are obvious and simple, yet in modern society are difficult to carry out and seem to be slipping away. That is were integrity comes in, the strength of which stems from conviction and can only endure when it is founded by the principles of humanity and truth. It is by no means anything new, but it is something more of us need to get back to, which starts with developing a deeper understanding of reality, a more dynamic view of experience, and a stronger sense of living.

That is where philosophy and my book come in. You can go directly to my book's website by clicking on the "Profound & Simple" link below, you can also access it through my personal website; Lifergy.com, linked below as "Lifergy." At my Lifergy site you'll see a description of my business, and on the "About Us" page, there are links to a few of my articles and poems which were saved as Word documents. It used to seem silly to me for every day is a day of a new year since it's been one year ago each day is revisited. Yet in the passing of winter solstice it is the natural cycle that flows within us to the marching of more daylight hours, the coming of spring, and the promise of brighter days ahead. There is much to be said that we choose the nature of our destinies, and as chance would have it, our luck follows in parallel with the path we lead. Be it far easier to fall in complacency than to rise in virtue, and wisdom is essential in knowing what is right and true, which is often more difficult. Bad habits are hard to break, yet if you see the glory in honest effort, nobility, and honor; then happiness is found in the struggle and challenges along the journey of a higher calling. I sadly acknowledge there is much evil in the world, but we can rise above it in knowing that it is wrong to gain from the loss of others, and that it is only right to profit at the price of your own effort. We cannot ignore evil, but must strive to understand it so that it can be dissolved by the power of love. Having said that, to illustrate just how great of a force that love really is, I share with you my prayer written some time ago, it was in response to the Virginia Tech massacre:

I offer my prayer to the souls of victims of any act of terror. To the souls blackened by the twisted hatred of evil that leaves in its wake the unbearable pain of eternal torment and despair. Wretched is thee who so woefully violate and extinguish the life from the innocent and the promising youth. My prayer goes out to the active dreamers manifesting productive achievement. To those who begin from the blank slate of potential and fleet to the actualized reality from their struggle to prosperity. To those who seek higher paths of virtue with love and passion in the ascending transcendence of a growing heart and mind. To every weary soul of a higher calling that is suddenly swept away by the hand of descending darkness attempting the agonizing destruction of all that is good and hopeful.
I pray not to a deity, but to ourselves, to humanity; that the best within us does and will forever overcome the tragedy of evil. I rise up, not in anger, but in forgiveness; not to the madman committing violent acts against humanity; but in lieu of corruption and complacency, to the society of man that allows such evil to flourish. Of what purpose is that of the wretched who too often illuminate the infinite darkness of their malice upon the sufferings of man. I dare not say the unthinkable depravity of life’s love forever lost while blood is spilled in the inexorable decline to the bottomless pit of tormenting shame and fear. Instead I proudly follow the rising calling of a light so joyous and bright it lifts all conscious beings to the heights of ever ascending, purifying love.
Let us rejoice in the glory of all our efforts to rise above the temptations to the darker side of nature. Though we are but mortal specks in the eternal landscape of the ever evolving universe, uniquely we are spiritual energy trapped within the confines of physical reality. In abstract reality our eternal souls of ethereal spirit often reaches out to the unreachable realm of eternal bliss. Thought it may be forever unattainable as we strive to enter such a place that does not exist; a heaven without recourse, it is in our journey that opens our hearts and souls to acceptance and peaceful serenity. I offer my prayer to the strength and beauty of the most powerful force in nature, for it may seem to stray too far from the nature of man. My prayer goes out to all that aspire to enlightenment and virtue, to all that feel the energy of life and the binding awareness of all existence; to the one single constant that defies all forces against it, overcomes and strengthens from all obstacles and the powers determined to destroy it, and rises above all that is evil. I offer my prayer to love.

And so it goes, the procession of life and our allusion to time, which seems to tug at our aspirations with lingering dwellings from the past and apprehensions of the future. Though it is good to learn from the past and set goals for the future, let us not forget the present and be completely in it. There is nothing more pure than this moment, which will always be here, with or without us, forever now.

Let your youthful spirit come out and play, to celebrate; as if drifting on a cloud of endless delight in the beautiful expanse of the universe. Be forever free, confined by nothing but the natural laws of reality and the timeless dance of existence. Feel the joyous energy from within your soul and throughout all that is. Make it your New Year's resolution to experience this higher sense of living each and every moment of each and every day.

Happy New Year!

Confusing The Issues?

Lately I've spent much thought in the more philosophic considerations to topics that seem more relevant to the modern concerns of political change and the incremental erosion of both freedom and economic value. I've also spent some considerable time studying on abstract matters that appear to have no relevance to the immediate, prevalent specifics of societal affairs. My mind tends to speedily wander from what everyone else seems to be fussing about, as I not only analyze the foundations of the sources for the turmoil and controversy waging about our busy lives, I also analyze my own observations and conclusions to the deeper meaning driving everyday events. I'm constantly probing various perspectives and possible explanations to the colorful landscape of ideas and actions in the full array of human experience, from the darkest depths of depravity, to the highest joys of virtue. The human species is interesting and can choose the nature of its livelihood, it must either live in good, or extinguish itself in evil.

Alas, what is the matter with me? Why cannot I lighten up? Why is everything so heavy, meaningful, serious, and large scale self-determinism? I keep reminding myself that everything matters because it is real. I take into account so many possibilities and meandering abstracts so as to overlook the more obvious and immediate concerns. In my constant philosophic search for metaphysical truth, am I getting closer to understanding the chaotic patterns of disrupted harmony, or moving further away from finding and clearly expressing both practical and spiritual solutions?

I would think that stimulating my deeper philosophic contemplations as helpful to the enlightenment of a path to prosperity and virtue, or are the distractions along the way too big of a price to pay that it would render enduring peace and happiness ultimately unattainable? Am I taking my thoughts too far from the immediate answers so as to not allow the long term answers come to light? Am I simply just confusing the issues by thinking too much?

I'll have to give it more thought.

What Is The Solution?

I recently sent an email to Rush Limbaugh who asked the question, "What is the biggest poncy scheme?" My answer is the following:

Hey Rush,

The biggest poncy scheme of all in the world is The Federal Reserve: A privately owned company that in junction with the U.S. government took us off the gold standard, giving them the power to control the money supply thus making it worthless paper backed by nothing, and putting the working class in perpetual economic slavery. All that under the guise that the government can solve all the world’s problems, when in fact in can only help by staying out of the way of the free market place. The government is growing in size and power incrementally with the delusion of promising utopia through a socialist agenda, slowly taking away our freedoms one by one in a systematized destruction of the U.S. Constitution. One way; for example, of achieving this is by electing liberal judges who legislate from the bench. Another is to enforce the “Fairness Doctrine,” which usurps the first amendment. Another is eroding gun ownership rights, which usurps the second amendment. Barak Obama himself said that the Constitution is fundamentally flawed. Yet people blindly elected him on pure emotionalism. These government bailouts will not work, because of the economic reality that money from nothing is worthless. The solution is smaller, limited government, more personal and economic freedom, and getting back on the gold standard.

Sincerely,

William R. Melich
Author/business owner
San Diego, CA
619-297-6106
www.lifergy.com

Who's The One Being Controlled?

My mind tends to move too quickly, as I find myself scattered and pulled in multi various directions. I'm not complaining or maybe I'm in denial, it's difficult for me to focus and lately my confusion at all the world's chaos has expanded faster than my intellect will allow. What that means I haven't a clue, and as I explained to an email pal; with my mind whirling, twirling, spinning and turning, I feel as though I emerged from a fabricated worm hole in a time machine created by some discarded mad scientists, and which functions more like a paint shaker on a jumping centrifuge.

A very dear friend of mine, (who just posted a great blog) has a son (Todd) who has an autistic spectrum disorder. I'm now fully aware and amazed at how positive he always is. It seems difficult to be both intelligent and happy, (or is it? maybe I just make it difficult) or perhaps it is my ego that I allow to become an obstruction to seeing that another viewpoint might be a better path to the sacred joy of unconditional love. I often wonder of the thoughts, trials, and tribulations that run through the current of Todd's mind, and I find myself surprisingly deeply envious of him, because he's always so damned happy, oblivious to all the corruption in the world. Everywhere he goes he greets strangers with such a kind openness that most people would only, and not often enough, extend to close friends and relatives. Sophistication serves little good if it overshadows the simple pleasures in life. Dwelling on too much negativity beyond one's control and choosing misery as a primary companion is not smart. So I must ask, which is better - living under a dark cloud of the "delusion" that all the world's violent chaos has rendered one's life unbearable, or smiling all the time and greeting people in sincere innocent joy, stopping others into returning the smile? Of course the answer is obvious, which begs the question: Who is the one being controlled?

I'll let you do the math.

What's The Point?

In the day to day struggles for so many just to survive, getting lost on the treadmill of working, eating, and sleeping. Maybe spend time with family and friends, occasionally smile, say hello, complain, watch TV, laugh, sing, think or avoid thinking, travel or stay at home, feel lonely, sometimes happy, sometimes depressed, a full array of emotions or empty and complacent, reflect on the past, anticipate the future, live fully in the present or too often linger in the past, feel alive or indifferent, expand your knowledge and wisdom or live in the shadowy fog of ignorance. No matter the experiences and circumstances we live, eventually we all die, so what's the point?

It's easy to surrender and forget about the joyous innocence of youth. Life is truly what you make it, why not make it good? No one knows for sure what happens after death, and if you could live forever you would loose any sense of purpose and meaning. Having a limited time on this earth enables you to develop incentives to accomplish goals and create something of value. Everyone leaves something behind, whether it is a book, a song, a building, personal items, or even if only a warm memory in someones heart. So what is the point?

Life is the point and the meaning you give it. You can and do choose how to live, whether in misery or joy, anger or acceptance, reacting negatively or responding with good intentions, cowardice or bravery, sloth or temperance, sin or virtue, and so on. Life truly is a journey of endless possibilities. Moment by moment you choose how to feel, and real happiness can only come from within your soul. Choose well by living life to it's fullest each and every moment of every day, because some day it will be your last. That's the point! (Now if I could only follow my own advice.)

I disagree

After watching the more recent Zeitgeist movie, "Zeitgeist, The Addendum," which is mainly about the economy, I found myself agreeing with it up until the last part. They said we need a system without money. My response to that is; who will decide who gets what and how much? Money is a means of civilised trade, in and of itself it's neutral and definitely not the root of all evil. We need money as a means of bartering in a free market place. No where has this been better expressed than in Ayn Rand's novel, "Atlas Shrugged," a book I think everyone needs to read. In it, one of the characters, Francisco D Anconia, made a speach at a party in response to a lady complaining about greed and concluding that money is the root of all evil. He began with the question, "So you think money is the root of all evil?" And went on to say that it is the root of all good and made his case with irrefutable logic, articulate clearity, and profound meaning. It was a great speach.

A Two Word Solution

There is so much going on in the world, and it seems everyone is focusing on the negative, me included. It is easy to understand why, we are undated by the media with all the robbings, lynchings, rape, murder, wars, genocide, racism, fascism, threats of nuclear war, famine, disease, economic recession, doom and gloom on the horizon, freedom ending, global conspiracy; etc. Is the world coming to an end? I think not, and I still believe there is much beauty, virtue, benevolence, and love in both our world and throughout the universe. So why all the trouble? Why has and does mankind continue to turn against itself? It's easy to see the conflicts between different cultures and religions, and every situation is different with specifically different causes for all the pain and bloodshed. Yet the similarities run deep into the sole of humanity, as well as deep into the soul of each and every individual. I believe that people who excessively hate and commit violent acts upon those they're uncomfortable with, are uncomfortable with themselves. They hate the world because they hate themselves. It all starts from the inside, from attitude and a way of thinking which manifests into the nature of conduct, which in turn leaves in its wake the nature of action as the result of the nature of thought.

Viewing the complexities and destructive behavior in the society of man, with all the considerations of historical events leading to the condition of modern society becoming more self-aware yet ironically more corrupt than ever, understanding all this is like looking through a cracked lens on a kaleidoscope; so many variations and distortions of patterns lost in the haze of following the path of least resistance. Religions versus religions, freedom versus oppression, good versus evil, evil versus evil, whatever. So many descriptions and labels to the various clashes of different individuals and cultures gives rise to all the self-inflicted spiritual wounds of mankind turning on itself; yet there is a very simple, two word solution. I have contemplated on this matter at great length and see the whole of humanity in the state of spiritual adolescence. Where it will lead is up to each and every individual in a conscious choice of becoming either more controlled and self-delusional, or more in control and aware of truth. So to all the violent chaos in the world there truly is a two word solution, one that I wish upon all wishes that I could resound as the phrase heard around the world:

Stop fighting.

My First Blog On This Site.

This is my first blog on this site, and I must say that I don't know what to say, yet here I am saying it. Seriously though, I just finished watching this crazy movie on youtube called Zeitgeist; I urge everyone to see it. It's both interesting and scary, informative and disturbing, enlightening and frustrating. The best thing I gained from it is knowing that as a registered republican that Barack Obama will have no impact on our lives as ants in a colony controlled by a few rich guys in the banking industry. This is something that runs very, very deep, originating from religion over 2,000 years ago. It may well take another 2,000 years to change it, if the human race survives that long. The first step is to make people aware, stop going to church, and don't loan any money from the bank. It will have to be changed the same way it was implemented, incrementally and from the inside out. People must learn the truth, understand it and act with integrity. Understanding the fundamentals of truth can begin with reading my book, "Profound & Simple," www.xlibris.com/profound&simple.html

It seems, however; that in our lifetime there's not much else we can do. This will be a quiet revolution which begins with awareness, preserving our constitution which is under threat of being destroyed, and living a life of independence, responsibility, prosperity, joy, and inner peace. Changing the world begins with changing yourself, just as helping others begins with helping yourself. Please visit my book's website: "Profound & Simple"
